Auto Insurance
It covers damage resulting from car accidents according to the cover provided to the insured, there are three covers for vehicle insurance as follows:
Compulsory Insurance
It is a complusory insurance required by law in which the sum of compensation is determined according to the law, it covers all bodily and psychological injuries to and death of a person as a result of road accidents whether the person is a
driver or a passenger or passerly. Premium sum is calculated as per the compulsory insurance tariff issued by the Ministry of Information - Insurance Control Authority.
Third Party Liability
It is an optional insurance covering damage caused to the third party is corporal property whether it is a car or a public property as a result of a road accident. Compensation shall be to the maximum value of the liability limits contained in the policy. Premium is calculated according to the tariff issued by the Insurance Control Authority.
Complementary Insurance
It is an optional insurance covering damage caused to the body of the insured vehicle whether the loss is total or partial resulting from road accident or overturn or fire or collision. The maximum value of compensation shall be equal to the vehicle
value declared and registered in the policy. Premium is calculated at a percentage of the vehicle value when insured. This cover is usually provided for the modern and new cars.
Insurance is termed "comprehensive" if the insured request that all the above insurances to covered.
